From inside our van, I saw a woman drag the terrified dog by a noose around it’s neck and slit it’s throat. I almost went threw the side of the van, to get to the dog. There was nothing I could do. Read more…

JAPAN’S FIRST MEMORIAL ANNIVERSARY FOR MARCH 11, 2010
http://pepismartdog.com/news/?p=1633
As the clock draws closer to the anniversary time of  2.53pm for Japan’s earthquake, and 3.37pm when the 42 foot  high (14 meter) tsunami wall of water hit land, our thoughts and prayers are with those in need. Please know you are not alone. *open paws around you hugging you tight* We will mourn and many of us will weep with you; even if our tears are many miles across the oceans throughout the earth.
Thank you to the defiant and determined group of animal rescuers who refused to obey the law, sneaking in to the 20 km no-go zone, secretly grabbing abandoned pets and sneaking them out in the dead of night. Some of these people are known, but many are nameless and even now many still hover in the shadows of darkness, not willing to go public and reveal their name or face.
